Company History

      Like many businesses, Tom Elder started Elder Construction Inc. (ECI) in the basement of his house. Tom had worked in construction since 1974. In 1984 he moved to Colorado Springs and served as a Field Superintendent moving into Project Management. In 1994 he made the decision to strike out on his own to provide his services directly to his clients.

      Tom felt that a simple philosophy of integrity would be appreciated and sought after in the market. He built the company on a three fold platform:
  • Provide the best product possible
  • Treat every client, subcontractor and staff member with respect
  • Grow with and be an important part of the community
      Since 1994 Elder Construction has grown steadily through the ups and downs of the market relying on a reputation of high quality and high integrity.

Who We Are:
Tom Elder - Tom is the founder and president of Elder Construction. Since 1994 Tom has been helping his clients by making the construc-tion process simpler and less stressful.

According to Tom, "Our goal is to produce a great product and develop lasting relationships with our clients."


Eric Swanson - Eric is Director of Operations for the company. Eric helps to manage the day to day business of the company. He also helps to form the policy and procedures that keep Elder Construction's projects well run and well documented.
